The Fairmont Giza hotel is situated in the 6th of October City within the new Sun Capital Development. Located approximately  5 km away from the Pyramids, the hotel aims to fit 300 hotel bays and 600 apartment bays onto a 5000 sm site with a 36m height limit above lobby level.

The client requested that the majority of the room views are of the Pyramids, and that the remaining would have a garden view.

A difficulty that was faced in this project was fitting all of the program that we had on site while maintaining views, number of keys and apartments and preventing the massing scheme from looking bulky.

The podium was programmed as back-of-house in order to lift the lobby and maintain view of the Pyramids from the lobby and above. The entrance from the back of the building allows the guests to enter the lobby and have immediate views of the pyramids.
